You could also drive to Martinsburg, West Virgina (13.5 miles away) and visit the town’s numerous Civil War connections, including a tour through Belle Boyd’s house, which is maintained by the Berkley County Historical Society, or a functioning roundhouse of the B&O Railroad. Once you have exhausted yourself on the rich Civil War history in the area, you can always turn your sights to the wonderful hiking, canoeing, antiquing, horseback riding, or rafting opportunities in the area.
